Program
The educational program of the “Ministère de la famille et des aînés” aims to apply the principles and values that encourage actions and interventions of our educational childcare environment while ensuring quality of service.
Each child is a unique individual:
Children develop at their own pace in each having particular characteristics. Whether male or female, they have their own temperament that allows them to grow in an environment where each individual has their full respect by accepting as they are. Without exception, they must be treated fairly.
The child is the first agent in its development:
In this principle, the autonomy of the child takes a lot of scope for being creative, exploring its environment, handling multiple objects, experimenting and observing. The role of the adult is to guide and assist the child in this stage of development.
The development of the child is a comprehensive and integrated process:
This principle of the program is a process that is based on various dimensions of development: cognitive, physical and motor, language, social, emotional and moral.
The child learns through play:
Young children are often drawn to the game which underlines the peculiarity of this feature where the child’s learning develops through play where through various games they integrate their experiences by translating them into a real world while following the surroundings.
The collaboration between school staff and parents contribute to the harmonious development of the child:
The program recognizes that parents are the first models and agents first educators of their children.
The teacher and parent should maintain a good level of collaboration and communication by exchanging more information about them, allowing each to intervene with the child adequately to meet their needs.
